It is situated just up the hill from Atisha Centre and the
monks contribute an integral part of our program. Monks lead meditation, provide teachings, lead pujas and other ceremonies, help us care for the centre and are available for private interviews. They also provide invaluable support and advice to Atisha Centre members and management.
The monastic order
is the heart of Buddhism and without monasteries the transmission of
Dharma in our world would cease. By living within pure morality the
sangha ensure continuity of the Buddhist doctrine, inspire others in
their practice and become a cause for the peace and well being of
society.
