  • The essence of the guru is wisdom: the perfectly clear and radiant state of mind in which bliss and the realization of emptiness are inseparably unified.

Casual Discussion group

Informal discussions facilitated by Venerable Jampa from time to time. Please check the calendar for the next opportunity.

Do you have questions about Buddhism or practices? Are you confused about the protocols of attending teachings or meditations? How do monks and nuns spend their days? Why do we circumambulate (walk around clockwise) holy objects? What makes an object holy? Why do we recite prayers in Tibetan? What do the words mean? What does it mean to be a Buddhist in Western society?  Etc., etc., etc. Sometimes our minds buzz with questions but we don't feel right about asking them.

This discussion group is an opportunity to explore your understanding and ask any questions at all. Who knows where the questions may lead? It is up to the group who assemble on the day to lead the direction. Venerable Jampa will be there to facilitate and respond, but the group is free to explore together. It is NOT a formal teaching. We will chat over a cuppa.

Come along and add to the discussion.

We would love your feedback. If you have thoughts, comments or questions please click here.
